Growing up in Mississauga, Kiki Rowe was drawn to poetry from a young age. Combined with her training in classical piano, soon Kiki’s love of poetry and words merged with her love of music and she began songwriting in her early teens. Over the next few years Kiki began recording original R&B music in a makeshift home studio and word began spreading around town about the girl with the "golden pen." In October of 2014 Kiki released her first self-titled Mini-Album which featured all original songs and featured the likes of DJ Mustard, ASTR, and Ivan Barias. Kiki's music has been featured on Complex, Fader, Noisey, Entertainment Weekly, Jay Z's Life + Times and more. In 2015 Kiki was signed to Sony Music Entertainment Canada, with media such as Toronto Star and Toronto Life touting her as "one to watch."
